Durham Parks and Recreation has cancelled all grass field reservations today (Friday, 5/18) and tomorrow (Saturday, 5/19) due to wet field conditions. This means the End of Season Celebration for the McMannen Spring Soccer League will be held NEXT Saturday, May 26th at 10 AM at the Morreene Road Park.
Durham Parks and Rec has canceled all reservations for all fields due to the heavy amount of rain we have had and the rain that is projected to continue throughout the day. Therefore, all Tuesday night practices have been canceled. Pray for the sun to come out and dry everything up.
Due to the rain that is already falling and the forecast of drenching storms that are on their way, the McMannen Soccer league will NOT be practicing tonight.

The Tigers and the Lemurs will be playing at 9 AM on Saturday mornings at the Morreene Road Park. The team schedules are posted below!
Good morning. Unfortunately we will not be able to start our season this morning, April 7, due to the rain currently coming down and the storms in the forecast. Please stay safe, warm and dry and we will see you on the field for practice this week!!
All rising Kindergarten to 6th grade girls and boys are invited to play in a fun, encouraging, positive, and organized soccer league. We anticipate having two divisions split by grade. Kindergarten – 2nd grade will form the youngest division and 3rd grade-6th grade will form the oldest division.
Our Spring Soccer League will begin on Saturday, March 17th with a league wide practice which will assist the coaches and director in forming relatively balanced teams. Times will vary beginning as early as 9 AM (exact time for each team TBD). For the rest of the season, all teams will practice on Mondays or Tuesdays from 6 PM -7 PM. Saturday, April 7th will be the first game for each team. Games will either start at 9 AM, 10:15 AM or 11:30 AM. The season will conclude with a league-wide celebration on Saturday, May 19th

McMannen Upward Soccer for this week will be a bit different since our last two weekends have been rained out. There is no practice this week. Instead we will be playing games. At 6 PM tonight, Monday, May 15th, the Typhoons vs. the Cyclones and the Lightning vs. the Thunder. And at 6 PM tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 16th, the Avalanche vs. the Hurricanes and the Thunder vs. the Lightning. K-2 coaches will have to ref their own games which will be held in the outfield where they practice because the 3-6 will be on the big game field.
Sadly, we will not be able to have our scheduled games again today, Saturday, May 13. Our field at Morreene Road Park is still far too wet to safely play. In fact the majority of our game field is a giant puddle.
